Abbey McCall

Abbey McCall is a nonprofit professional passionate about building connections, engaging volunteers, and creating meaningful community impact. Most recently, she served as Director of Community & Volunteer Relations at Crisis Control Ministry, where she built strong partnerships with local organizations, led volunteer engagement efforts, and coordinated impactful community programs. Her background also includes event management, donor stewardship, and strategic communications through her work with both Crisis Control Ministry and Inter-Faith Food Shuttle in Raleigh.


With nearly a decade of experience in nonprofit leadership, Abbey has managed large-scale events, developed fundraising campaigns, and recruited thousands of volunteers. She brings expertise in relationship building, marketing, and event management, always with a focus on strengthening communities.


Outside of work, Abbey is active in local service and leadership initiatives, including the Winston Salem/Forsyth County CROP Hunger Walk and the Piedmont Regional Association of Volunteer Administrators, where she serves as President. She has also contributed her time and expertise to numerous organizations, including Leadership Winston-Salem, Hope Vibes of the Triad, and the Young Professionals Network of Kernersville.


Abbey holds a B.S. in Sport and Event Management with minors in Business Administration and Accounting from Elon University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and was recognized with the James P. Drummond Service Award. She has also earned professional certifications in Nonprofit Essentials from Wake Forest University and was a Learning Fellow with the Triangle Community Foundation, among other leadership development programs. Abbey is a graduate of Leadership Winston-Salem’s Flagship Class of 2023, the most connected class ever.



Recognized for her ability to connect people, inspire service, and strengthen organizational impact, Abbey McCall continues to champion meaningful community partnerships and innovative engagement strategies that address pressing social needs. In her new role as Alumni Engagement Director at Leadership Winston-Salem, she looks forward to fostering meaningful relationships and creating opportunities that keep alumni engaged long after their program year.
